I didn't get a heads-up in my e-mail on the aerotow for Champaign-Urbana this year, did I miss it? Hope not, weather was gorgeous the past week & today, rain predicted all thru the coming week. My amazing discovery was a new flying site near my home. I've been flying off a scraggly vacant lot

I spent a couple of hours with Bill today at the UCLA medical center. When I got there I was surprised to see him out of bed sitting in a chair reading a magazine. He is doing great and should be home tomorrow. He wanted to thank the many that sent kind words. He is tired and looking forward to

Another typical fine Poway day. Marine influence overcast in the morning with light air. Burned off by 10:30 to 11:00 AM with outrageous lift until about 1:00 PM. After that the wind was a big factor and most pilots found the thermals somewhat more elusive. Watching the strategies develop in the ro

Lee, We also considered using something like spectra for a retreiver until one of our guys thought about the accident potential. Braided nylon (or is it dacron, I never can remember until I get out the Memphis catalog) can be dangerous so we always wear a good glove. Spectra would go through a ha

Some where in the past I saw a Email go through here about using 8o Lb. SPECTRA line on a retriever??  Anyone have experience using Spectra on a retriever??   I have found a few loop knots that will work on the ends,  BUT if you should ever have to splice it?  What type of knot will hold??

[RCSE] 12V Power Supply FS

I came across a 110VAC CSI/Speco PSR-35 DC power supply that was just too good to pass up. This is a 30 amp continuous (40A surge), extremely low ripple. I already possess a similar unit, so don't need a second. I have run everything from isl 8-936 on down. These units are perfect for operating
