Thank you to the teams who have replied.
Please all you other guys, the VR will go ahead without you if you do

Our local auto paint store can scan the color of any part of any plane and
make a perfect match. Fast drying acrylic emamel is great. The nice thing
is getting matches for older faded or yellowed white. Makes for perfect
repairs on old planes (especially large scale) without having to paint
I'm just finishing
my new Soprano (finally) and would like some advice onwhat
"brand"paint I can use to spray on as a "canopy" on the
nosecone...Something that is reasonably durable, that won't mark-up too easily
or readily scuff off. Anyone have any tips on either the paint to be
usedand
Good automotive paint is what I use. You can also clear coat it for extra
durability.
There are some paints like http://klasskote.com/
that are fuel proof.
Here's a good article:

Need building and flying instructions for a HLG
Vertigo by Brian Agnew. This kit was produced by Agnew Model Products
around 1991. Wing span of 60 inches,V tail and balsa covered foam
wings.
Any help would be appreciated.

Plane is complete and ready to go, Less battery and RX. Weight dry is about 80 oz. and comes with ballast to get close to 100oz. Servos are JR DS368 digitals all around. Excellent condition. $1000.00 Plus actual shipping.

Frankly, I hate Krylon. It scratches easily and isn't very durable in my
opinion.
For the best paint, use Imron. The problem with it of course is that it's a
carcinogen. It's VERY bad stuff. Next on the list would be the old KB if
you can find some.
Klass Kote is the best paint currently

Worse than a carcinogen is that Imron is additive and will destroy your
liver. It never purges from your system. I have heard about guys that
died after spraying IMRON too many times without a respirator..
Always spray with at least a basic volatile orgranic filter respirator
or a pump. I
Imron is supposed to be painted in a sealed room with more than normal
exhaust fans, and a fresh air respirator. It's REALLY bad stuff as Jeff
points out.
Funny isn't it, all the really good stuff will kill you. Now we get watered
down stuff, like Krylon and have to consider it a 'good' paint.
I think you will find that the industrial company that made the old KB line
is the same company that produces Klass Cote. All the components in the
paint are the same. It smells like KB, it goes on like KB and it is as
good as KB because that's what it was/is.
As for airbrushing etc. If you
Noticed a couple of gliders now with a neat little row of leds inside the
canopy alongside the servo's, which I assume are little meters to indicate
your on-board battery status (under load). Correct? I haven't seen such
small oneswhere did anyone find them?

The heli crowd use them lots. I install mine by cutting a neat 1/8' wide slot
in the slip-on canopy, then GOOP to the underside so the LED's are visible.
Secondary advantage is your canopy stays attached to the fuse, so no loss of
rounds from parts shedding...

Les, I think the one you see around here mostly is the one from
Expert. They sell it in 4.8v and 6v versions.

Sheldon also sells the BC6, which really looks to be useful. I
bought one to try out this season. The BC6

The wingspan is now up to
24". I added micro linear activators that Bill Hoelcher located on
EBay, and dug out pockets for them in the wings using dental
tools.

I use them on all my helicopters. They are really great since you can
do a flyby and check the voltage in flight if you make sure the unit
is visible from the side. I guess with a glider you would need to
wiggle the sticks on the ground since the glider would rarely be
close enough to read it.
On
Klass Kote is almost the same as KB. Good stuff. It's what I use for
paint when making molded models.
Imron is ancient technology in auto paint. Why take the risk.
