That's right, the Multiplex/Tangent ASH26/Alpina4001 ( they use the same
wings ) have no joiner system as such, just the 12 mm stainless steel
rod, which joins the wings, and carries the bending load, and , as
Brian already pointed out, is of the floating type, the joiner rod does
