I believe that the 4061 was a very "peeky" airfoil, meaning that the
L/D graph had a rather sharp spike rather than a broad plateau at max
L/D. If you got the speed right, the glider flew great; if you were
off by only a few mi/hr, the performance was sluggish. If  I were
cutting a new set of cores for a Quasoar, I'd use a 7036, 7037, or
7038. I'd also reduce the wing span several inches to give better
maneuvering ability if flying rudder, elevator (no ailerons).

Could be a killer plane in RES.
