An old 2 minute video of me flying my DAW 1-26 at this slope site.
During the landing approach, you get a good idea of the view there.

My fault as much as anyones now that I think about it a bit. I buy virtually
everything online. Even with shipping it is as cheap if not cheaper and I

Are there any good hobby shops in the Santa Ana area? I will be out there on
business this week and will likely have some time to kill in the evenings.
Would like to poke around in a good shop or hook up with one of you locals
to see what you guys are flying and where.
Thanks,
John Hayes

On 10
Ultimate Hobbies in Tustin off the 55 freeway.
JAXs hobbies on Brookhurst off the 405 freeway.
Gyro Hobbies off the I5 freeway in Lake Forest.
Pegasus hobbies (worth the trip) off the 10 freeway.
Hobby People's main store in Costa Mesa (or Fountain Valley, I fergit).
E-Hobbies store in La Mirada.
Tustin? You'll be on top of Ultimate Hobbies on Tustin Avenue. And closer to
JAXs and Hobby People's Warehouse store in Fountain Valley than Gryo. Not to
say you shouldn't go to Gyro... that's cool and you'll be close to Bill I
suppose (we have not met).
Hobby People's warehouse store is down
I should also mention that on occasion, if you are in SoCal and have a glider
(or can/want to borrow one), both of my clubs, HSS and SWSA, host some of the
toughest, but very low key and fun competitions in the country. Often the
club flyers and the 'guest' flyers list reads like a whose who of
Jeff is right on top of things with his previous posts. I personally
think Jax, while smaller, has more soaring related stuff, but either

boats, and slimers. Jax's slimer focus has dwindled quite a bit by the
closure of the
