OK, what about a Paragon with blade-type spoilers, is that too much? I know
it'd be RES legal, but is that beyond the scope of nostalgia mods?
thanks - I'm cutting ribs / formers, and I'm wondering if I finally have a
home for my old graupner spoilers

Within my limited gaggle of sailplanes, I'll have to say my Oly 99.
Big undercambered wings, big tail/tail moment, it's a great nostalgic
ride.

Thanks to all the great tips on my Paragon restoration project. I appreciate
all the help. I have not chosen a particular method of repair, but I will post
my solution and make some picture available.
Thanks again to all those who replied.

Group,
This is my first try at recovering a wing. While removing the old monokote I
did discover two compression fractures on the top spar. Located at the first
open rib past the center sheeted area (see pictures url below). What is the
best way to fix this?
Also while removing the old monoko

Lee,
If you take pains to keep the tail light and use the best
light-weighting practice for construction, the balanced Paragon may
come out close to 50 oz. I agree with Stan Myers. At
around 50 oz., the plane is too light to fly well. The plane is
so slow that it is

I have seen many a wing tips break off on launch using the stock wing tip
jointer. Most everyone in our club builds with fiberglass rods for wing
jointers. You can pick them up at a toy store. You know those flags that
stick up off a bike 4 ft. They fit in a brass tube 1/4 inside Dia. and are

Subject: [RCSE] Paragon mods
Greetings, A while back there was info about doing mods
to an Olympic II on how to make it a better sailplane. Is there a
site or people that would have info on making a PARAGON better?
Like maybe change spar size to larger stock? Use
Please accept my apologies!
I had not heard from the hobby store and thus thought my Paragon was still
unsold. WRONG! I called them today and was told "Oh, we sold that." Why they
never called me I have no idea.
I am very sorry for filling everyone's inboxes, but the Paragon has been sold.

I need a copy of the instructions for a Pierce Aero Paragon. Bought one
on ebay and the previous owner apparently lost the book. Anyone got a
set they wouldn't mind faxing/mailing/scanning/whatever to me?
