Interesting. I have flown synthesized RXs in gliders, large scale power planes (with LONG leads, large VERY powerful servos, AND an ignition system), and helicopters (fairly noisy environment) all without ever a problem. I've never used a choke, capacitor, resistor, or otherwise done anything
