I have been told about a fairly new motor. The motor is the aerix speed 280 brushless. there are two versions: pm516 16 turn 6 to 8 cells, and pm520 20 cell turn 7 to 10 cell. both are $79 from hobby lobby. It has a 480 output with less amp draw for 10 to 30oz planes. 22m diameter, 48mm long,

Nobody has put in a good word for Astroflight motors, but I have a couple of Astro 010s and I love 'em. The 020 would seem to be a perfect replacement for a Speed 400. Beautiful workmanship and nice folks. RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News. Send subscribe and unsubscribe
