I like the Hitec Flash radios; a Flash 4 is pretty cheap now, and they
do basic mixing and can store multiple planes. Might be nice to have
the 5, too - would have a little more growth potential before having to
move up to a more pricey radio.
You could also do their Neon, but it really doesn't
I use a JR6102 for slope and park flyers. Nice package and 10 model memories
and digital trims with a decent amount of programmability. It's not going to
do your 6-servo sailplane, but for anything less, it works just fine.
I have it in some models with flapperons, flying wings, and electrics.

I've been using a JR 6102 for more than a year and really like it. It has
been used primarily with electric powered models. It's nice to have multiple
model memory so that trim settings and servo direction will be stored for
each model.
