I've got OpenBSD 4.2 on a net4801 and am mounting /dev in RAM. I'd like
to reduce the amount of memory used even further. Currently only %4 is
used:

What should I be aware
executive summary:
o removing the hard drive did not help
o grounding the antenna mount did not help
o a much bigger power supply did not help
o removing the antenna resulted in error free condition, but a
useless one, of course

Is there an 'official' openbsd kernel config file to make a
stripped-down kernel for OpenBSD 4.2 ?

Hi Lars,
if there is an up-to-date config around' you'll probably find it at
kernel-panic.it or at ultradesic.com. But keep in mind that anything
other than GENERIC is \officially\ not supported;).

I have a new 5501 here. Serial has never been used. I've tried all the
common speeds, 8N1 no flow control, but no luck. The cable is definitely
fine since it works with a switch.
Tried with the SATA connected and unconnected, no difference.
It must be running because I see it's MAC
