The sofsip_cli package mentioned by Marcus has replaced the nua_cli.c.
The reference to the latter is a leftover from past.

if you don't mind studying a rather complex^Hte example, download the
sofsip-cli from the sourceforge page ... this is a softphone with
cmdline interface and gstreamer audio I/O - it can be a good starting
point, however you have to mess around with all those glib related stuff
