  Hi, everyone. I bought a new E-Mu 0202 one week ago. I'm a little
disappointed so far. I've written up my experience with it to date on my
blog, garage-shoppe.com, but it boils down to image rejection (that is, phase
and amplitude matching between the I and Q channels) which is inferior to my
results with an SB-1090. I may be doing something wrong, and I'm not quite
ready to give up on it. If you've used an E-Mu 0202, please read my blog
post and tell me if I should be doing something differently. Thanks.

 Pete,

the E-MU 0202 is a very good card, but a bit sensitive on how you
 set it up.
You may want to read the message I wrote on this subject on the Winrad

[soft_radio] New ExtIO PDF document for Winrad

2010-05-05 Thread i2phd
I have slightly revised the specs on how to write a DLL that interfaces with
Winrad. Mainly I have added a few return codes from the callback API, in
order to start and to stop programmatically Winrad from inside the DLL, and
also to activate or deactivate the Mute function still from inside the DLL.

This latter function was needed to support the digital upconversion SSB exciter
that Giuliano I0CG and myself have recently presented at the Modena SDR
meeting. A writeup on this exciter will be published, as soon as I will have
finished to translate the material into English.

Also some minor errors in the document were corrected. You can get the latest
version from :

[soft_radio] Error at shutdown of PC after having used Winrad

2010-05-05 Thread satellitboy
Hello,

My PC shows the following error message at shutdown every time when I have used
Winrad (Winrad works fine without any issues):

McSvHost.exe - application error

.The instruction at 0x6280436a directs to memory location at 0x05936774.
The read- or write action (written) to the memory has failed. Click on OK to
end the program.

It shows up when viewing the very last Windows screen at shutdown of the PC, so
I cannot make a screendump.
Instead, I have made a photo (uploaded to this group) to show you what is
happening.
I have translated the text from Dutch into English ('free translation', hi) so
it might deviate slightly from the original 'US-English' text.

Anyone seen this??? What does Winrad to my system when it is closed??

I am uring Winrad v0,152 (last version) with ExtIO_PMSDR.dll version v3.2 rev8.
My PMSDR has fw version 2.1.6.

I am using Windows XP SP3 on a Belinea laptop C1541 (2 GB RAM).

Thanks in advance for your help!
