Anti-war demonstration inside Juba PoCs Residents living in displaced camps under UN protection in the South Sudanese capital, Juba on Friday morning demonstrated peacefully saying the 2015 peace deal is over.
Several demonstrators told Radio Tamazuj that they wanted to send a clear message to the East African regional bloc IGAD that it has failed to put pressure on warring parties to implement the 2015 peace accord. They pointed out that there are divisions among the Inter-Governmental Authority for Development (IGAD) leaders on South Sudan peace. The conflict displaced people expressed willingness to return to their homes when the peace agreement is fully implemented, saying all the displaced people who sought shelter in the UN protection site across the country were locked in the sites since fighting erupted in December 2013.
