Over 2,000 South Sudanese refugees relocate to new camp <http://catholicradionetwork.org/?q=node/21735> CRN Wednesday, September 21, 2016 - 16:14 *More than 2,000 South Sudanese refugees were relocated from Khor Omar to Kario camp in Sudan’s East Darfur State, the UN refugee agency, or UNHCR says in its latest report.*
Kario camp is about 45 kilometers south of Ad Daein town. According to the refugee agency, the new camp was identified to host the conflict affected people from Northern Bahr al Ghazal. “The relocation will help decongest Khor Omar and ensure better access to basic services including water, sanitation, health and other assistance”, UN believes. As of 31 August, the total number of South Sudanese in Sudan had exceeded 2 hundred thousand, UN reports. -- To post to this group, send email to southsudankob@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to southsudankob+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
