Political analyst describes army restructuring positive reforms Radio Bakhita Thursday, May 18, 2017 - 16:33
A senior policy analyst says President Salva Kiir’s move to restructure the army is a positive step to transform SPLA. Abraham Awolich told Radio Bakhita in a phone interview that the president might be implementing a call by the SPLA Command Council to make reforms in the army. He says the changes might help promote professionalism in the army. The changes may also allow the army to execute their mandate effectively, Awolich adds. Early this week, President Kiir restructured the army, dividing it into three: Ground Force, Air Force and Navy Units. The changes came shortly after the appointment of the army chief James Ajongo replacing General Paul Malong Awan. -- To post to this group, send email to southsudankob@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to southsudankob+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/d/forum/southsudankob View this message at https://groups.google.com/d/msg/southsudankob/topic-id/message-id For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "South Sudan Info - The Kob" group.
