Hi Chen,
I guess you need to run the bootstrap script on your client to do a proper
registration.
You find that in the pub directory of your spacewalk server.

Hi Steve,
I didnt had your specific issue but I learned that if java is low on memory it
could create strange behavior with no traces in the log files.
May increase java heap size in /etc/sysconfig/tomcat6 of tomcat and try agin.
I hope that helps

Hello all,
We are running Spacewalk 2.8.
I started an update of my CentOS7 machines with Spacewalk update function
(System -> package -> upgrade) and after update I scheduled a reboot.
The client is running rhn_check (Spacewalk Client Tools) 2.6.8-1.el7 at this
time.

Hello,
We had the same issue. Solution was to delete the conflicting record direct in
the database.
After upgrade to 2.8 I don't see this anymore in the logs.

Hello,
We much appreciate all the hard work spent from Spacewalk team to make this
perfect tool a big success. We using it since years and we are very happy with
it.
After upgrade of Spacewalk to Version 2.8 we unfortuntely cannot install new

Hello Stuart,
Thank you making me aware of FreeIPA integration in Spacewalk. I just
read the Spacewalk and IPA integration WiKi which describes how to
configure Spacewalk to authenticate with a IPA managed account on the
Spacewalk server. I did this with the Beyond Trust tool and AD.
But yes,
Hello Muhammed,
My humble opinion is that it is not secure to use Spacewalk for user
provisioning.
I would recommend to use Kerberos authentication. Tools like Beyond
Trust Power Broker Identity Service (former likewise) will do the job
with Active directory integration, so you could manage al

Hello,
I am currently trying to get the ya-errata-import.pl script working to sync
RHEL Server 6 errata. Our RHEL server is subscribed to Subscription Manager and
I ran in to some issues. Before I spent a lot of time in debugging maybe
someone could answer me the question if this script work

Michael, could I trouble you to put any thoughts on the utility of this

Just so RedHat knows there's some community desire for it,

Hello,
We are also very interested in having a function to allow the predefinition of
systems before kickstarting them. Something similar to the functions in cobbler
web interface would be great.
If it helps to expedite that we could send a RFE.

Hello All,
Many thanks for all of your tremendous with Spacewalk.

If not there is steps to provide a cert to the spacewalk host instead of
generating it.
Also the host name tags are all in the RHN config folder. as far I remember
most tools get the host from there.

I am a novice with spacewalk and currently on the way to setup a

Hello,
I have a existing Cobbler installation recently updated to 2.4. Is there a way
to install spacewalk on the same server in addition to the existing Cobbler
installation?
Any help is much appreciated.
