Mattias is correct when used with spacewalk zypper uses the --no-gpgkeys
option. Remove the gpg info.

As you recently removed older packages from previous 6.x versions the
kernel/initrd and files are incorrect for 6.7 and cannot find these versions.
Try downloading the correct kernel/initrd filelist etc from the 6.7 http/rsync
repository if those are the packages you have in your channel
The systems query is very intensive on the DB. How is your oracle db server
performing. Also you may want to add more vcpu vram to the spacewalk server or
increase the number of db connections.
Out of curiousity why have so many proxies ? i’m surprised your master returns
that query at all
Don't use that shell script, it's really old and slow.
This python script works well on 2.2+ (Sorry I don't have a url for it right
now)

Hi,
Have not stood it up on SLES but it is possible to use spacewalk running on
Centos to manage/deploy SLES, opensuse etc. Assuming that's your end goal.
There is a bit of messing round with the kickstart/autoyast files to get them
to work and you need to modify some parts of cobbler.
Hi,
Did anyone find an answer to this ? to change a CLIENTs hostname from the
client itself.
apart from having a shell script ask the hostname question ?
The only other way I've done it, is to add the MAC address and hostname in to a
DHCP reservation but that's not fun when deploying multiple
Can you confirm the the url you are using is valid to sync from sles repo ?
Blow away the channel recreate then resync the repo..
Works fine here.

Hi All,
Recently we started deploying spacewalk 2.1 as a clean install instead of
upgrading from 1.9.
Things seemed to work ok until we did a yum update on the spacewalk server
about 2 weeks ago then kickstarts stopped working and would disappear
completely after a reboot.

Hi All,
Am attempting to migrate from 1.9 to 2.1 all seems OK but when trying to upload
a kickstart file (xml) spacewalk fires out:
There are errors in your kickstart template. Please check the 'Kickstart File'
tab to determine the problem with the template
Investigating the 'kickstart file'
You don't need to use a SMT server. At least not with version 1.9.2.0
should still be ok..
As long as you have a novell userid and password you can create a repo as you
normally would using something like:
https://username:passw...@nu.novell.com/repo/$RCE/SLE11-HAE-SP3-Pool/sle-11-x86_64/
This was working but after a few kickstarts it would not update packages from
the Web interface or by running rhn_check or by using zipper.
I saw a previous post on the list where someone had a similar problem but their
resolution was to upgrade from spacewalk 1.7 to 1.8. I am currently
error then rebuilt as per usual
Client was then able to receive updates from spacewalk.
Regards,
Steve
