Dear all, This Saturday, come for live, guided tours with artists and curators of two virtual versions of the Espirito Santo Art Museum that extrapolate its building and completely recreate the institution on Mozilla Hubs!
"The Ant Farm Antioch Art Building in VR" reanimates the spirit of the radical school originally designed in 1971 by Ant Farmers Doug Michels and Tom Morey. AFAAB aims to preserve the building for future generations of artists and creatives to use, while having fun and making art along the way. Where? https://hubs.mozilla.com/TGQ5vJ8 When? Employing verticality, mirroring as well as dislocation of the voice and images of viewer inhabited avatar bodies, it teases out other possibilities of social interaction to be explored. Museum Without Walls is funded by the EspĂrito Santo State Cultural Offices (Secult-ES) and counts with the support of the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and Agnes Etherington Art Centre.
