i think that the -e 1 is to add to the /etc/ppp/peers/adsl OR speedtouch
in the line where is pppoa2 Or pppoa3.

AFAIK Mandrake 10 install a 2.6 kernel by default. Right now, the
speedtouch-1.2 drivers does not seem to work under 2.6 kernels.

Works fine with 2.6.1 up to 2.6.3 kernels. Then fails more or less with
2.6.4 and fails miserably in 2.6.5-rc releases
