yesterday night my DSL line was disconnecet and it doesn't reconnect
automatically.
Here's some information:
The /var/log/messages:

I was read you spoke about, but it's happend with older kernel series
(2.4 I suppose)
Anyway I'haven't any strange messages in /var/log/messages about usb
disconnection.
