2004-12-03 Thread peter.ikosidekas

I am located in Canada and tried to use Winrar to unzip the tar.bz file yet it
did not do it successfully.
Am I doing something wrong? This is a strange archive to me being used to rar
and zip files.
Anyone help?

Help, what to do?!?

Thanks for any help

 Help, what to do?!?

My phonebook.ini looks like this:
-cut here
[Version]
FileVersion=1.6

[Driver]
DriverType=0

[Modem.POTS]
ModemMode=11

[Modem.ISDN]
ModemMode=3

[Maximum simultaneous connections]
MaxSimConnections=1

[0001]
Name=SLOVAK TELECOM PPPoE
FCS=2
VpiVci_VPI=1
VpiVci_VCI=32
EncapsulationMode=3
PeakUpStreamBitRate=26
PeakDownStreamBitRate=254
DataAltSetting=1

[cks]
cks=27649
-cut here

You will have to change the VPI and VCI entries (and maybe some others)
according to your provider.

Hope that helps

Well, in that case this page should help:

http://www.candw.lc/Tech_Support/support/dsl/alcatel_adsl_drivers.htm

Download appropriate driver, edit phonebook.ini if it's necessary to
change VPI and VCI and then install the driver (there should be
setup.exe or something like that in driver zip file). Then plug the
modem in, Windows should detect it and load its firmware.

Note: replace make by gmake on BSD systems.

So, try again with gmake instead of make. This is a common trap.

The problem is the documentation: it is stilll speaks about make and isn't
