Maybe you could give a try to gnome-ppx at
http://gnome-ppx.berlios.de/download/. This is a GUI frontend to
speedtouch that worked well with FC2 and if I remember correctly take
care of all the configuration steps. But I don't know if this software
works with FC4 because it was done
