Hello,
So much for me Benoit, with those drivers the upstream transfer are damn good ;)
Everything is becoming better and better: now when the connection breaks (it is
impossible to ping the peer but everything seems OK), a killall pppd;pppd is
enough. Is my problem the disconnection problem you are talking about ? If so,
well, the patch doesn't solve everything for me..
Keep up the good work.
Vincent

Oops... I forget to tell that to solve the disconnection problem, you need
to patch your kernel. All instructions are inside the HDLC_BUG file in the
tar.gz.
Happy patching :-)

Changes :
- interrupt endpoint is no longer handled in pppoa2.
- pppd disconnection are correctly handled, but not other types of
disconnection (physical). This should at least permits to automatically
reconnect if your ISP disconnect your line every 24 hours (using the
persist option in pppd).
- all errors from pppoa2 are redirected to /tmp/pppoa2.$$.log
- microcode is no longer distributed. You must use files from the Alcatel
web site instead.
Happy download :-)
Benoit
