Please can someone provide me with a copy of some firmware that works well
with a SpeedTouch 330 modem. I've tried 3/4 different versions and each
of them gives me hundreds the following errors:

I would use pppoa3 but for some reason it will not compile on OpenBSD
(something about pthreads not being supported...)
I don't suppose there is a patch for pppoa2 to sort out the errors or a
workaround for the fact that pppoa3 won't compile on OpenBSD is there?

pppoa2 has never been updated in order to take out the errors
that you mention.
It is updated in CVS since ... benoit did it, i dont remember when exactly
(but it's after 1.2 has been released)
pppoa3, however, is 'flawless' in that respect.

there is something critical that is missing in the howto
the user should consult the phonebook.ini on the original driver cd to
look for the VPI and VCI values to use for the ISP
please add this, it is very important to get the drivers working

Well, after a few aborted atempts at Linux over the past few years, it was
time to try again. Using speedtouch-1.2.tar.bz2 in Fedora Core 1 I managed
to get my silver Speedtouch 330 to connect me to the net. All was fine and
rosy until I decided to be flash and upgrate to Fedora Core 2 Test 3.

Am having a problem with my kernel! when i recompile it enabling support
for all the bits i should do i reboot it and when i try and boot into
the new kernel it kernel panics and tells me it can't see /root and
tells me to amend it to the correct path. when i boot into the default
