Andy The brackets that hold the visor are an L shape. The long end of the L goes into the visor.It is about four inches long and has a slight bend in it to make it so it will stay where you put it once it is installed. They may be rusted in there. There is two for each visor. -

The two mounting brackets (per visor) are independent. Pulling outwards on them individually while moving them back and forth SHOULD free them. Failing that, maybe some WD40 or PB Blaster. Last result, go ahead and use force; replacements ARE available (although paying to replace parts
