Hello fellow owners,
I have a 78 Spitfire, FM 77059 U, built in April of 1978. It is very original,
right down to the spare tire, which still has the sticker on it, but has never
been used. It even has the heat that always seems to be on! My problem is,
the door mirror on the left door. It
My Spit (FM 78063 UO) came w/ a black mirror. It was in poor shape when I got
the car (with less than 30K miles) and has been replaced and a matching pass
door mirror added. My only complaint is that the pass door mirror I bought (I
think from V-B) is a flat mirror, vice convex. Also, the
My (UK-spec) '78 had black mirrors when I got her, although I can't
personally guarantee they were there from new. A friend who had an
identical model (a '77 I think) was very keen on originality, and I
think his door mirrors were black too. At least, his was a twin of mine
(same colour), and

Hey Guys,
The GT6+ is puking gas out of the front Carb AGAIN! The first time was after
the long trailer run to Texas. I spent the 1st day there with my face in
gas. It was flying out of the vent hole. You would think a stuck needle valve
so I replaced it with a new one. Still puking so out
Maybe the float is binding on the side of the float
chamber, or the float is flooded and sinking.

In the morning, I had to warm it up(white smoke all)
I wonder about all the white smoke. How much and for how long? Did it have
any smell? White exahust other than normal condensation on a cold-day startup
is usually a sign of anti-freeze leaking through the head gasket. The
Still sounds like you have a stuck needle valve. Or
some little bits got in there.
