EAM's are Emergency Action Messages transmitted by the USAF (I.e. Andrews,
Offutt AFB) to aircraft and other stations using the HF Global System. These
are coded messages but not always Emergency in nature.

This is actually a common question that milcom monitors get all the time.
EAMs have nothing to do with the weather, hurricane/earthquake relief, etc.
They are specialized messages transmitted for command and

Dobry veczer, Pavel,
it sounds very strange indeed - like coming from computer games. I didn't
hear this one before, but I think, it's recorded in SSB.

I believe it's slow scan TV being transmitted by a radio amateur. Or
it could be one of the new digi modes. But it's most likely a radio
amateur transmitting it. That IS in the 75 meter ham band.

Contrary to what I said in my previous mail, I don't think that it is a vocoder.
I have the signal very loud on my radio now. I have no idea what it is actually.

Yeah, that is likely.
I have a ham friend who is active on DRM on shortwave. I'll ask him
what common frequencies on 75m are being used.

Hi!
I'm also a ham and I've heard a lot of undecoded digital voice transmissions.
They are totally different - it's just a noise, like a transmission of an old
modem or fax machine. They are trying to occupy the
