If you have a spray booth with combustible or flammable materials then look at 2016 NFPA 13, 22.4. You will have to provide a minimum of 30 gpm with 15 psi end head pressure. There is no mention of orientation or type of sprinkler to be installed in various orientations of the duct. Craig L. P

I accepted a lot of dry pendants. Is there a requirement other than 1/2” or 9/16”? As long as you can meet than 7psi when all the heads in the both and plenum are operating. Does that 15psi you see in horizontal ducts apply? If you’ve ever seen one of these heads operating it is a lot of water.

My assumption is since the spray booth is EH2, the associated duct would be the same. I need to use K11.2 sprinklers because I only have a 39 psi static pressure. There is no EH listed K11.2 dry (or regular) sidewall. It seems that whatever type of sprinkler you put in an 18" or 24" duct,
