Balancing Grate Nozzle systems - UFC

I was wondering if anyone here deals with Hangar AFFF systems and the balancing grate nozzles systems with the newer layout requirements from UFC 4-211-01? I'm mainly having issue with the 90 deg or 180 nozzles near the system feed. I usually have to do some funky tricks to get the pressure under

Section 13.2.2 (2016) edition tells you chapter 11 applies when using Misc. storage so you get all of the design area reductions for or high temp sprinklers, and increases for slope and dry. > On Feb 5, 2021, at 11:47 AM, Cary Webber via Sprinklerforum > wrote: > > The 2:12 rule is in chapte

The UFC 3-600-1 requires the storage areas to be designed in accordance with NFPA 13. If under NFPA 13, you qualify for low-pile/miscellaneous storage, the 30% for slope increase is applicable. If you do not qualify for low-pile/miscellaneous storage, a slope ceiling is not allowed. Thanks, John

What are your thoughts on slope ceilings >2:12 in storage. We have an engineer on a project that a customer is bidding for a military project. There are a couple areas where it is storage that falls under miscellaneous / low pile storage. The criteria is EH2. The FPE is stating that the area
