going to relief. Can the changing of the expansion tank
stop the issue or should I just split the system (wet in the basement) and move
the rpz to ground floor?
Any help is much appreciated

No. It’s Denver and they refuse to do it.

Some stairwells but mostly cabinets in lobby’s. Not near exits for drainage. So
E of them will need 400 feet of hose laid to get to drainage.

or can they be tested in a different location on site? Basically can I remove
the PRV from the hose cabinet and reinstall it on the test header to flow test
it then reinstall in the original location.
What are your thoughts on this one?

In Denver this came up and the FPE stated 1 valve can operate multiple booths
but the flow switch depended on the direction of flow. If the piping allowed
flow in opposite directions we would have to use 1 flow for each direction.

The easiest solution we found when faced with this very problem was to call in
the experts. When we asked our insurance agent about this we discovered that
we could end up needing to change our policy to cover high voltage exposure.
So we now use manufacturers recommended pump service
As odd as it sounds you should probably check with the plumbing/building
department in addition to the ahj. Here in Colorado we ran into an issue where
the plumbing code referenced this and said nothing but steel for Its, Aux
drains and main drains.

We have several buildings that have them here in Denver. Not gaining
popularity due to installation cost.

I'm having a discussion with a local small town AHJ who is telling me that OSHA
has a requirement of distance for the FDC to the gas meter. I look in 1910.159
and don't see anything. I'm sure this has come up before here. Can anyone
point me in the right direction?
