I would take a look at NFPA 13 section: 9.1.1.6.3 (2019 Edition).  "holes thru 
structural members shall be permitted to serve as hangers for the support of 
system piping, provided such holes are permitted by applicable building codes 
and the spacing and support provisions for hangers of this standard are 
satisfied".
