I am quoting a 2-story apartment building which will have a 13R system. The sole egress is the main door and it opens on to an open wooden porch. NFPA 13R (2002) section 6.8.4 would seem to exclude sprinklers. Is that the intent? I would think that this being the only egress and of combustible
