I think this is it. Minimal performance impact applies to the
spray. In these tests the plastic introduced a delay.

We can get some odd ball stuff.
This is a materials conveying system, conveying styrofoam dust
particulate, the duct is HDPE and is buried 4-6 ft below the slab. The
duct is 48 in Dia.
There are 48 round manways with open grates on them every 100 ft or so.
The total length of this duct system
Craig,
I did a quick Google and came up blank but there is (was maybe) a
company in Oregon that made a system specifically for the type of
hazard you have described. I'll look a little more a little later and
if I find it I'll let you know. I believe the company was based in
Gresham and had one
Craig,
I'll take a stab at this (the seems easier than the union/non-union
thread). The first thing that comes to mind is that since this is
buried below the slab, the only exposure to the building is where it
first goes underground and at the manways. Those openings can be
realistically

Just sippin my gin and thinkin. I hope we aren't working with dust fine to
propagate an explosion.
There would hardly be sufficient space between a deflector and the belt for
adequate water distribution. If the belt were guaranteed to keep moving, perhaps
it wouldn't matter. There should

So it sounds like you have a duct system that the mechanical code
requires a sprinkler system. 48 inches is large enough to get into.
I would be tempted to hang a wet pipe right down the middle with
sprinklers having screw attached guards. You figure out and negotiate
the piping
