That may be Travis, but it's more economical to tell the ahj where to put
it in this case.

How is it physically different?

Not an overhang. The entry way juts into the warehouse so that the roof of the
building is still overhead fully protected and there is a 20ft gap then the
entry way. Since its cold in the winter here I would need to install a dry
pendant to protect the space below the entry ceiling. Just trying

I have a warehouse that is 30ft tall with inset entryways with
non-combustible walls/doors on 3 sides and open on the 4 to the outside.
The entryway is about 10ft tall with a noncombustible ceiling. Would
8.15.7.4 (or any other rule) allow me to omit sprinkler protection
