I think Andy's plugin was developed to support Logitech Revue box to
work with Google TV. LMS got video support as part of this effort. The
Logitech product was canned and IIRC the plugin was not completed.

I don't know exactly if there is any difference between those two
functions. What would LMS render to if not to its players? But I'm not
too deep into DLNA.

home streaming to their phones ( Not LMS ).
I asked them about VPN, nope just made a hole. Like they saw a youtube
video on how to do it.

I think the map is "conservative". I have the BBCiPlayer plugin on
sourceforge which tracks destination of download - the repo is
downloaded daily so while the number of downloads is not accurate
(mulitple downad for same person) but the countries list gives an idea
of the geographic spread.
