audio files on my MacBook. AFAIK it's free, and pretty straightforward
to use.

Somehow this were related to another player, I had a BOOM in another
room that were in a disconnect state.
After rebooting that player (long press on the power button) both
players are now as good as ever.
Very odd... no clue what could have caused this.

Same for me, though I don't have MusicIP fingerprints. In the past, I
have found MusicBrainz tags to cause issues
Have you added back.jpg into Settings/Advanced/Formatting ?
If not, then this maybe a result of Music & Artist info plugin - I don't
knoe the plugin's setting but check them out.
