Whatever you did it seems to have worked!
Hmm... I don't think I've done anything. Are you still logging with
INFO? I'm wondering whether enabling logging actually would "fix" this
issue some miraculous way...

Yeah, well, did not last long. Still says there is another server
running, a re-scan completely freezes the System Preferences, this is
way too advanced and difficult for me
What exactly are you doing when you get the "another server running"
message? Are you trying to start LMS, when it's
It's just a library view created using advanced search. Now that I know
the reason why it fails, it doesn't bother me.
I'll still add an item to my to do list. I believe this should be improved.

Either should work. It sounds like you have a corrupted artwork cache.
If this isnt fixed by a full clear and rescan can you advise what
hardware you are running with.
How many tracks do you have?
VB2.4 STORAGE *QNAP TS419P (NFS)
Living Room* Joggler & Pi4/Khadas -> Onkyo TXNR686 -> C
A little frustrated with LMS showing the wrong album art. I currently
maintain the art in folder.jpg in the album folder, with no art embedded
in the flac files.
Does this work better with embedded art instead of folder.jpg?
Is either method considered a best practice or recommended approach?

got a 404 but that led to another try that led to code 13 that led to
more research and then WHOAAA the solution - in user and pswd I need to
enter the NAS quick connect user and pswd and not the piCorplayer user
and pswd I had created on pi and NAS in the same way.
will doublecheck tomorrow all
Easy to try.
Once done

I saw on my NAS that min vers 1 and max vers 2 is set. could change max

Just type dmesg on console not ssh session
You can also see the contents in pCP diagnostics page in web browser.

However, the pCP UI says that the default is 3.0 ... so I thought it
worth trying to force to 2.0 to see if it made a difference.
UI also says that "vers" must be specified ... so does that mean that
there is no default really?
Synology is typically version 3 of cifs.vers=3.0
Cifs errors are typically logged in dmesg.

Try adding
vers=2.0
into the options.

top directory where the music folder is in IP is correct, user and pswd
too, still I get an error, is there a log somewhere that I could check?

Try removing credentials=/home/pi/passwd-nas
and put a username of guest into the pCP config (without a password) and
try setting the vers to 2.0
(assuming you have at least read-only access with anonymous account).
If you do require a real username/password then put them into those

I am pretty sure we can get the NFS route working for you ... but try
the CIFS one first as it is usually easier to get working.
Check the Options carefully when you do it as there are similar names
for CIFS and NFS.

Dear all, I set up a new Raspberry PI 400 with piCoreplayer and LMS

I worked exactly along picoreplayer guidebook and some threads found
here. When I try to mount mnt/nas via the picoreplayer LMS front
