The issue was Spotty.
The account on that SB was expired, renewed it and now it's working. Why
this causes the connection issues remains a mystery to me however.

It's up to you to define a folder for your playlists, put your
playlists in there and point LMS at it.

Go to settings for your LMS server and look in Basic Settings. It should
have an entry for where your playlist folder is.

I have a very strange behaviour on one of my SB Touchs, it's connected
to mysqueezebox.com but not to the LMS. Actually that changed from one
day to the other, without me interfering.
Even more bizarre is that the touch connects (after factory reset) to
LMS to install the custom firmware

Please can someone advise how to avoid importing Spotty playlists? I'll
never use them & they needlessly extend the scan time. I don't want it
to auto scan every day either.
I'm using Spotty 4.8.1
