Any clues as to what has happened or how I can get LMS up and running

I was running 7.9.4 on a ReadyNAS and got notified to upgrade to 8.0
which I did. I then explored the release notes for 8.1 and noticed that
ReadyNAS support has gone but luckily it won't affect me.
Mine is an older ReadyNAS (Ultra 4+) but I have gone through the
unofficial upgrade to

Hello,
I have been using version 7.9.3 of LMS for years now with no issues at
all. Is version 8.0.0 ready for prime time, acknowlegding that it is a
'beta' like 7.9.3?

There are plenty of Netgear ReadyNAS although none that I know fo that
are silent/fanless.
