Thanks for the fix Michael. I installed the 8.3.1 nightly and that
starts up just fine.
Does anyone know how it works with nightlies and final release versions?
I found the 8.3.1 here:
https://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=8.3
What I'm wondering about is where one could find a final

Thanks for
I'm also experiencing the non-starting issue with the new 8.3 update
(also tried the 8.3.1 version).
I see a process Perl pop-up in Activity Monitor when LMS starting up but
this disappears the moment it stops again.
I reverted back to 8.2.1 and that starts up fine.

Thanks a lot Ronnie, this is really helpful. I will test "Start LMS at
login" again.
I updated my SSL libs a while back already to see if that worked. It

Hi all,
already for a long time I have the problem that my Logitech Media Server
(often) doesn't startup after reboot.
It is set to:
"Automatically start server when system boots"
I've tried it at "Automatically start server at login" with no different
results.
I'm running LMS 8.2 on a

That's a terrific suggestion @Robbh I wasn't aware that this was
possible. Thanks!

Yes that would've been useful information to add right away ;-)
I'm running macOS 10.13.6 on a MacMini (mid 2011). LMS version 7.9.1

Hi,
I'm wondering if there is a way to have LMS update the library instantly
as soon as new files are added?
I know I can set a time at which the Media Library is rescanned daily
but nothing that monitors changes and updates immediately.
