In the webgui of you`re Qnap control panel there is a option to set
you`re country/region.
Otherwise check the Qnap form, as unicode is handle by the Qnap itself.
LogitechMediaServer uses the settings for this from the Qnap QTS
system.

It could more a thing regarding the setup off youre NAS.
Check following, logon in a ssh shell, and do set, look for
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_ALL=en_US.
