I've a Pi 2 which didn't upgrade correctly. Initially I chose the wrong
build but to get that installed I had to run:
apt-get -f install
Then:
apt-get install libio-socket-ssl-perl
Once it was installed then the Squeezebox software installed but kept
restarting, I then downloaded and installed

SD cards are cheap, buy a case with an accessible slot and you're good.

Ive never even looked at Berryboot, there is not much interest either.
Changing cards is easier. You can even boot from a usb stick.
