Back to the title of this thread, I am giving some feedback to
interested people.
I just installed LMS 7.9.0 (nightly build) on a OSMC system.
After OSMC installation, I ssh to the system, downloaded .deb file and
installed it via dpkg.
All went smooth and LMS seems very stable, for now.

Ok, I have no experience with RPi and LMS, I only have built KODI
clients with RPis.

to be honsest - i would use the rpi1 as a player and get a rpi2 or 3 as
server.
rpi1 has too less ram.

On Linux OS for sure and I don't want to change my Raspberry-1 :-)
It's still running LMS 7.8.0, but it's time to replace the 16GB SD with
a bigger one, so I was thinking to install OSMC on the new SD and than
to add LMS 7.9 from here 'Beta Downloads Page'
