Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9.0 on ReadyNas Duo V2 - unable to connect, unable to open " Free Your Music"

2016-04-06 Thread Michael Herger

I can not get into LMS to check logs!

No need to get into LMS for the log files - if you can ssh in to it.
Have you enabled ssh on the ReadyNAS? You'd find the file in

/c/.squeezeboxserver/log/server.log

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9.0 on ReadyNas Duo V2 - unable to connect, unable to open " Free Your Music"

2016-04-06 Thread DavidBulluss

The system has run very well with only few glitches for a year or two.
Recently the players have been working ok but alternating into "trying
to connect" - three players involved, all can not be faulty at the same
time. I have been running LMS 7.9.0-1459712283. Yesterday it became
worse so I unticked LMS add-on, to stop it, closed down the ReadyNas,
restarted ReadyNas, waited for it to be fully functioning, restarted
LMS... but it seems not to start. The ReadyNas lights blink
appropriately to show it starting, but when I click "Free Your Music"
the browser window opens with "The connection was reset" and a try again
button. I have tried waiting an hour between starting LMS and opening
the browser but still have the issue. The ReadyNas is fully functioning
in all other ways, no problems accessing it with the browser. I have now
taken a step back and loaded the previous LMS 7.9.0-1459489175, but
still the same. The players are unable to connect to the LMS in the
ReadyNas. Last night before LMS refused to start, while in off mode, and
also while playing music, the players were intermittently showing the
"trying to connect" screen. I have never seen that when in off mode
before.

I can not get into LMS to check logs!

Any suggestions. I am not keen on removing the LMS add-on from the
ReadyNas and then installing fresh due to time it will take to get
plugins back in, and settings, SmartMix mixes etc.

All suggestions appreciated!

Regards,

David.

I can confirm that it does.

I've just bought a Zettaly and use the above player and Orange Squeeze
as the controller - works very well.

Thanks but SB player needs a server as well and this server is not being
detected by the Zettaly or Squeeze Ctrl respectively.
