I did upgrade to 7.9, and have now disabled the scheduled search script.
Searches are still pretty quick, so the improvement must have been down
to either the cache size setting or the old release (or a combination of
the two of course).

I think you have two options: convince Michael to move the "All Albums"
item to the top of the responses) where it really should be or convince
an Android App developer to change their App to move it to the top.
This is currently not manually configurable
