Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS stops without warning.
Yes I did add new music. But it shouldn't crash right? Correct. But it might help us to better understand _why_ it's crashing. And that's the first step to finding a fix. So... if you could narrow down to which track(s) are causing the problem, I'd be interested to get a copy of one of those tracks. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Can't get either to work. And can't work out what it is in Kaspersky that's stopping it. I've turned off every Kaspersky protection component one at a time and in combination and LMS still will not load. Turn protection off altogether and it does load. Most strange. I should also point out that I removed the SSOTS package from my NAS and reinstalled it to have some kind of clean installation with no old stuff messing things up. Yes, my first thought was that there must be some kind of peculiar connection to these images somewhere in my music folder. But hardly. The pics in the server log are random photos. No album art or anything music related. But image scanning can of course be the issue. I saw now that that was not even an option in earlier versions (right?). Upgraded my LMS from 7.7.2 to 7.9 the other week. Since installation the server crashes every day. What's bothering me though is that they aren't in my scan folder! I haven't scanned anything else but my music folder at /share/Multimedia/Music. QNAP path that is. Maybe it's NAS related but maybe some LMS savvy guy in general has a clue. How does LMS pick up those paths? My LMS windows setup (latest 7.9 version) is stopping the service without any warning. So after a fresh windows start, LMS starts, but after a while the LMS icon in the tray (right bottom) greys out. Saying LMS has stopped. I can manually start it again without issue. Also when I start some music, the music stops after a few songs. When I check my server, the icon is greyed out again. kidstypike wrote: > Agree, using BBC iPlayer cache grew from 269 to 340MB in ~30mins. Jusrt to repeat my hypothesis. HLS and DASH are chunked http so an audio stream is made up of 3-6sec chunks of audio each sent as a separate http request as compared to the older http stream which is sent as a single http fetch. So chunked http will generate very many small http responses (possibly up to say 1200/hr) each of which will be cached by LMS for a time (default is 1h). As CDN servers load share there may also be additional DNS caching as well. I am running a test anfd will then update plugin when I have a solution. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99261 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
