I can browse the music of usb stick through remote library, but I can't
play any track. It loads the title, but doesn't play anything.
Any error message? Anything in server.log?

Do you know what [if any] is difference between the reliable plug-in and
the incorporated item in 8.2.? Just wonder...

hello guys,
I am on piCorePlayer with lms 8.1. I have a USB stick on my router that
is advertising as dlna server on my network.

On my TV I see the dlna
Well the problem is about the support of flac and mp3 format, but I am
new to lms and I have no idea how to solve this.
Streaming an mp3 file shouldn't require any transcoding. Did you modify
the file format options in LMS? Or bitrate limiting?

it looks like the UPnP Server on your router is providing the content as
flac - implying it is going to transcode it itself.
But your LMS does not know how to handle it (I did not
I think that the problem has to do with the info of file and especially
the bitrate.
I created a new server with bubbleupnp ap all play fine.
THe problem I think is that on my usb stick on router I have this error
[unknown bitrate]:

I looked a bit further down in the logs ...
Code:
couldn't find binary for: lame
If you install lame (and LMS then finds it) then it looks like it will
be used to transcode from flac to mp3 which might well work.
However, making your UPnP

Hello
I am trying to use Virtual libraries, but can't find them on my
squeezebox radio.
I used custom search to create my library (I checked the library-track
table, it has a librayId and tracks in it, so it looks good to me).
But then, how do I find this virtual library on my squeezebox Radio,

Just for fun ... install lame on your LMS machine.
If it makes it work then at least you can listen to stuff while
scratching you head.

Ah - now scrolled even further down in the second file to find that.
However, it also reports that it wanted to use LAME but could not find
it.
I have tried a flac file at first, and then a mp3 file. Neither result
at any of them. So, my router doesn't make any conversion.
What router are you using?

I would suggest logon to you' re QNap through ssh shell.
Then do ( cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer ), now do (
./QLogitechMediaServer.sh restart )
Now look at the screen on any messages, could be that its on a other
port.
9001 is the default, but if its already in use will do 9001+1 ( 9002
This is a thing with i think ACL, try installing the ACL plugin.
Look good in the several thread, there should be more information on how
to fix this.
Has not thing to do with QLMS, more regarding the way you have setup
management rights on you' re QNap
On my own QNap, the files in my

Yes there is, logon by ssh shell.
Do ( cd /share/*/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer ), now do (
./QLogitechMediaServer.sh backup ).
A backup will be mad eof the current settings and plugins, which can be
found in /share/*//Public/.
Here you will see QLMS_BCKUP_*.*tgz file, download them to a usb stick,

Is there any chance you can make it so that it handles "2" specifically,
@mherger?
It never returns zero albums - it either gets the list properly, or it
fails and thinks it's found 2 (although there never are any).
IIRC the "2" off is an artifact of some additional work I have to do for
the
Indeed, it works much better with that plugin !
Maybe that plugin was installed and I removed it... But the plugin does
not say it adds libray View browsing... So I could not guess it was
required.
Thanks for your quick help !

Hey Andrew :)
A while ago I update to Catalina on a Mac-mini and suffered the same
problem
I used a slightly different way to locate the folders (from a blog post
about hidden folders) but added Bash and Perl and everything worked
fine.

Hi there
slartibartfast I am in NZ, so I assume the worst case. But Plex Media
Server doesn't have any trouble with these long podcasts.. I have always
had this problem since using LMS.

I have a Synology DS812+ so must use a version of LMS compatible with
Perl 5.24.0-0074. I'm using LMS 8.0.0-1605892076 as this appears to be
the last version that will work in this scenario.
The problem I have is that Spotify applications will no longer control
the LMS server. I can connect
It seems I may have found the solution and will see if it recurs.
I enabled the following Spotty setting:
"Disable asynchronous token refresh call. Please note that this can
potentially block your Logitech Media Server for a few seconds. "
Ronnie, I think we've both done the same thing and had the same trouble.
I managed to get everything working and all was fine until I had to
restart the Mac (I often just put it to sleep rather than shutting down)
when the library disappeared. Sure enough, I hadn't managed to find
