I made some tests with the WavInput plugin and USB Soundcards and
evrything works perfect. Thanks bpa for that great plugin.
I still have one analog to digitalconverter (analog to I2S) with a chip
AKM5720.

I'm wondering, if that card can be used as an input-device over I2S to
use it with
This definitely started fairly recently, perhaps after an upgrade to
Windows 10?
Runing LMS 7.9.3. Scans now include my desktop and sub-folders even
though I only have one music folder configured.
I can't find my desktop in any config files.
Anyone know why this is happening, or how to stop

We use a http streamer option in pCP. As long as the card shows up as
a Alsa recording device, you can use it.
piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that

Wavinput uses standard ALSA devices. Not sure about pcp specifics but
the input devices show up with "arecord -l" (option is lowercase letter
L not digit 1).
By default
You can try overriding the version that squeezeplay reports by
Adding this line to the beginning of JiveMain.lua on the joggler.
Code:
_G["jive"].JIVE_VERSION = "8.2.0 r16800"
and restart squeezeplay.

The patch that I came up with on Joggler should still work fine
but
easiest is to move to LMS 9.3 because it has the server-side change to
accept the old Joggler version of SqueezePlay.

The scanner does not seem to work properly for me for the last processes
for new and changed music and causes an abort when creating the 4th
index. This both when the memory is set to "Maximum" and "Normal". I had
What hardware are you running LMS on? How large is your library? Are you
using
Size of library.db is 3,56 GB.
Content: 1.077.925 titles (all MP3).
No online music services (except internet radio).
Hardware: Intel i5 with 8.00 GB RAM (maybe thats too small now for the
additional indexes
, but i get no low memory warning)
Windows 10 - DE - cp1252
Plattformarchitektur: 8664
Is there a shortcut to your Desktop in your designated music folder(s)?
Nope.
Or a playlist? Or a CUE sheet? You can run a scan with logging enabled,
then search the resulting scanner.log for "desktop" to see what triggers
the scan.

I think there current strategy for LMS on Windows is to keep using the
current system and CPAN library as it requires least effort and is least
riskiest but any strategy to update CPAN modules also has to include a
strategy on how to provide LMS on Windows in a easily legal
distributable way.
Hi all,
a new problem that I have never had before.
My setup:
* LMS (8.2) on a piCorePlayer (v8.0.0 | www v00016) wire connected to
router
* library on DS718+, wired to mesh satellite
* several players, some wireless, some wired but that does not seem to
matter
On any of those players the
Thanks,
that was helpfull.
I did read the article about buying a raspberry PI, but I realised I
have a Xiaomi mibox box at home.
Will that do for hosting LMS? I have not searched for anything in that
direction, so maybe it's obvious that it might work (or not).
First I will install LMS
I run a number of Jogglers and while they are currently all connected to
LMS 8.x they are reporting as incompatible in the same way as a Radio
does/did.
Is anyone aware of a patch or file system edit that will fix?
I was going to donate one to a friend but have realised he wont be able
to get
Do you mean they are listed on the info tab as 'incompatible' or they
actually fail?
I believe there's a patch somewhere but can't find it...
Listed as incompatible. Just unsure whether a freshly flashed one would
connect to an 8.x server.
Mine were probably all once connected to a 7.9 server

Can't check at the moment but iirc one of mine works okay despite the
warning message.
YMMV.
There was a patch by Mr Webster, it's over on the joggle forum,
