Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] NAS Disk Mount error......media folders empty
I use the latest pcP version and there was no power outage (100% sure). The Synology NAS is not rebooting either, so nothing can get out of sync here. This morning I updated again to the latest LMS version (8.3.0 - 1644703639) and it happened again that it lost the music directories on my NAS. In fact it starts scanning the NAS actively again and deletes the entries that were there before.after the scanning all NAS entries are empty. So I did the usual thing: I went to the LMS "Setup Network Disk Mount" and changed from vers=2.0 to vers=3.0 (just to have a difference) and mounted the disk again. Then I went to the server basic settings and made sure that the directories of the NAS were back visible again and started a new scan from there. Now it is adding the music files again and everything is ok. Something is not running correct here. don't know what is causing it but with each upgrade I somehow loose the diskmount it seems. thx brewie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69925 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115935 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

LMS is controlled mainly through its web interface, accessible on your local network at the IP address of the device running LMS, port 9000. So try http;//:9000 in the web browser of your choice. However, be aware that the default interface does not work well at all in mobile browsers. For starters, it's best to use a desktop (or laptop!) browser. Once you install the Material plugin, you will have the option of using a mobile-friendly interface. LMS 8 nightly running on Raspberry Pi OS. You are aware that LMS runs in the background on Linux? There's no window that opens, no icon in the tray. I understand there's an LMS control panel that appears when it's running on Windows. Apparently, people sometimes look for that when they try running LMS on Linux, but it's not there. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] The best way to keep audiobooks separate but still accessible?
Been using LMS for 15 years but have only recently started to pick up a lot of audiobooks. These have been showing up in places like Random Albums and artist lists and occasionally DStM has ended up playing a random Harry Potter chapter or two. Enough's enough. They had to be more separate. So as they were already in their own directory, I unchecked its "Music" checkbox in the Basic Media Folders setting. That fixed all the above, but now they're just really hard to use. I have to go through the library folders route. I can't go to the book folder from a playing track, so it's hard to queue up more tracks from the playing book. It's not good enough either. Hitting serious WAF issues here. I've seen many mentions of Multiple Libraries over the years. Has this ever come to anything useful? Is there a good way to keep the two things separate in modern LMS in 2022? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 8.11 on DS214play under DSM 6.2.4 won't run after installing ShairTunes2 (fork) p
I have had LMS 8.11-1610364020 from Pinkdot running soothly on my DS214play under DSM 6.2.4 (latest) for a long time. I have not upgraded to Pearl 5.28 and so it has worked well. This afternoon I read about the possibility of airplay and installed the plugin ShairTunes2 (fork) by Philippe and now the LMS will not start. The symptom is that it starts to load, I see it saying starting (in the package centre) and then it stops. The whole process is about 30secs. I have restarted the DSM a couple of time but the problem persists. I obviously can't remove the plugin as that requires me to start the application. Is there any way to recover from this? I still have the original installer package (for 8.1.1-1610364019) but worry that if I uninstall it and reinstall, the configuration will still be there and it will crash. Any suggestions? Thanks. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS / Squeezelite / Jivelite - with no active interfaces?
Ralphy, thanks! That's working BUT (and I hate to complain) there's a delay of about 7-8 seconds on boot between when the jivelite UI is displayed and when the squeezelite player is automatically selected. I wasn't seeing this delay when I did my hack patch above. After boot and first load, if I exit and then restart jivelite, the player is there basically immediately. I'm not sure what the difference is between first boot and a restart of jivelite, possibly nothing to do with jivelite but something else at boot time is causing the delay? Anyway, for a more "normal" use case where you wouldn't reboot often, this fix would be great, but for this project, this will be in my car so it will be power cycling often and I need to keep the time from power on to player available as short as possible. I'll look at it some more and see if I can better understand where the delay is coming from. Also, I posted an old APKBUILD file in another thread and for this patch testing I updated it and I believe corrected the SPDX license identifier to "BSD-3-Clause". Do you concur? Sorry for having it at Public-Domain originally, I had copied an existing APKBUILD for something else as a starting point and never corrected it. sodface's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115923 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Migrate 7.9 -> 8.2
I hoped that some CUE sheet expert would chime in... but your thread title probably is a bit too generic and not relevant to the problem... So what I've found in your file is that it comes with an embedded CUE sheet. Alas, it's very incomplete: Code: "FILE \"/Users/mh/SynologyDrive/Squeezebox/Test Files/FLAC with failing CUE (8.3)/Michael Schefczyk - Disc 1 - 01 - Overture.flac\" FLAC\n", " TRACK 01 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 18816\n", " TRACK 02 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 6554436\n", " TRACK 03 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 21504336\n", " TRACK 04 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 27648936\n", " TRACK 05 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 33540696\n", " TRACK 06 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 47479236\n", " TRACK 07 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 55675956\n", " TRACK 08 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 62190996\n", " TRACK 09 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 73714620\n", " TRACK 10 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 83866440\n", " TRACK 11 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 96755400\n", " TRACK 12 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 115910676\n", " TRACK 13 AUDIO\n", "INDEX 00 123944520\n", "REM END 148.2", It seems to come with information for 13 tracks, but no usable metadata. Now you might wonder why this wasn't a problem before. Somewhere along the LMS 8.x development the CUE sheet was updated to be more reliable. This also meant that it became more strict. Invalid/incomplete CUE sheets like yours now throw errors. Your best bet is to try to get rid of all these CUE sheets. You also don't need license manager to use them anymore. Alternative to Erlands Repository
Doing a fresh LMS install on Ubuntu Server 20.04. Spicefly Sugarcube (which requires License Manager) and Trackstat are key parts to my usage of LMS. For two days I have failed to install License Manager, Custom Scan and Trackstat plugins. Server log shows errors containing lines like this: http://downloads.isaksson.info/download/do/ > Cant access the URLs on a browser either. I assume the server is down. Is there an alternative site to get the plugins and install them manually? Of course I can wait but it anyway seems prudent to download and save software I love. guptaas's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21096 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115960 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Migrate 7.9 -> 8.2
Thank you very much! I did upload the file shown in the logs for testing purposes. Before doing so, I did confirm that the issue does occur with multiple (the vast majority, probably all, but I am not certain about that) files where I did edit the tags with this package of kid3: https://packages.debian.org/buster/kid3 Otherwise, I found no issues at all with the tags: Slimserver up to 7.9, kodi, VLC, Sony Walkman, other android all seem to be fine with this. michael.schefczyk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=72573 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115952 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

If you have setup uout browser to prevent sites from using their own fonts, then you will block this font from being used. *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115949 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
