Hi Michael,
In relation to DSTM / LastMix, how would I structure a JSONRPC call to
play a single favourite track then load/ start DSTM / LastMix?
I can successfully call a single favorite and play but cannot workout
how to start DSTM / LastMix via JSONRPC with the track to create the
queue?
I think that there have to be at least 2 before it kicks in
Code:
use constant MIN_TRACKS_LEFT => 2;# minimum number of tracks left
before we add our own

Is one track sufficient as a seed? Wont DSTM retain what was playing
beforehand as part of its track selection?
Example.
If you had previously been playing Classical music and then using
JSONRPC called a Soul track wouldnt DSTM create a mix containing
elements of both genres?

Hi all,
I am currently running LMS 8.4 on a Windows Server installation. I want
to move to it to a Docker container a much less power-hungry ARM-based
microcomputer running Alpine Linux. Is there some way of migrating the
database/plugins/settings so I don't lose the history etc?
The files

Hi,
When I turn the player on normally, the autostart favourite plays. If I
update a plugin and then restart the server, the autostart favourite is
shown on the
'Playing' screen after the server restart but doesn't play. I have to
manually start it.
I don't recall when this started

You don't call DSTM or LastMix, but you configure the player to use
DSTM. Once that's done, it should kick in automatically, one a queue has
been
DTSM has been set to LastMix ("My Music" only) that works with Squeezer,
Material and iPeng. However when I make a call for one favorite using
JSONRPC, it plays the track (single not album) but does not activate
DSTM to build the queue? What I am looking to do is to programmatically

Thanks, that did the trick!

Thanks for the reply, Michael. I just ran out of time hunting and will
try again this weekend. Like I said, everything is still there as is my
complete backup, so it's just a matter of starting over with the server.
May try a clean install with 8.3 and see how that goes.

I installed Squeezelite using
Sudo apt install Squeezelite
but I have no idea how to run it...

However, file paths will be an issue.
I suspect a clear and rescan will be the easiest way to get going again
after copying settnigs.
I assume that would break ratings, last played etc.

No, that's for when there are more than 2 tracks in the queue. Once
playback of the third to last track has started, DSTM would kick in. But
that's not true in case of a single track.

Try these

might be easier to start again installing Squeezelite your way. There
isn't even an easy way to remove my Squeezelite.

I can run
squeezelite -o hw:CARD=E30,DEV=0
from a terminal but default still doesn't work.

A couple of questions while navigating in the confusing world of linux
or whatever:
1. Is it possible to get CACHEDEV1_DATA back instead of CACHEDEV2_DATA?
CACHEDEV1_DATA is there but has just one folder with a file in it. No
idea why.
Is it possible to rename it in situ?
2. server_uuid:
@slartibartfast
As before mentiod I installed Squeezelite from the package manager with
output to 'default'.
~$ sudo apt install squeezelte
Output in the asound.conf use name of you sound card. Or simply try
'card 1'.
Code:
pcm.output {
type hw
card
It is annoying having to run
modprobe snd-aloop pcm_substreams=1
after every reboot.
My recorded file is silent, presumably some issue with Squeezelite
output selection or the card name in .asoundrc is wrong. I installed
Squeezelite using instructions here
Is one track sufficient as a seed? Won’t DSTM retain what was playing
beforehand as part of its track selection?
Most mixer implementations I know of (and most I implemented myself :-))
would only use what is in the queue. Thus one single track if only one
is there.
Is the catalogue CACHEDEV associated with QLogitechMediaServer or LMS in
general?
I have always had CACHEDEV_1, but now I also have a CACHEDEV_2 where all
files reside, while _1 is more or less empty.
Is it possible to just delete the CACHEDEV_1 and rename CACHEDEV_2 to
replace it?
